"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem." Psalm 122:1-2
Pray for peace.
While we pray for peace, let us give thanks for all God has done and is doing for us. It is so easy to forget. Home. Family. Food. But there is more. What of the widow? The orphan? The homeless? What of those who live in violent areas? Surely God has forsaken them, right?
I thought so.
Pray for others.
"For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee."
God sees and knows all and He will never forsake His people. God provides. Do I see in color? Can I hear music? Am I able to think? If so, I am blessed! Everything that happens, happens for a reason. Did I lose my best friend? Maybe others need to know I understand. Has my family betrayed me? God has not. He is there no matter what I do, good or bad. He loves me no matter what I do, good or bad.
Pray for Jerusalem
"Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good." Psalm 122: 7-9
