If you have believed in Jesus, the next step is to bury yourself in His holy words, the Bible. Read it. Pour over it. Know it. Above all, OBEY it. God’s says in James it’s useless to read the Bible, but not practice it. I will say here and now, this is not a walk in the park. What God commands is simple, but not easy. God doesn’t do things the way we think He might. His ways are opposite to ours. What does this step have to do with fear? We must fight lies with truth! Start by learning the truth. Remember, God has not given His children a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (II Timothy 1:7) Fear weakens us. It is the opposite of love, and it robs us of our mind. That is not what God wants. We must know the truth. That is what will make us free.
